ANNOUNCEMENT OF JUHSD BOARD VACANCY

At the December 16, 2025 board meeting, Trustee Cho provided verbal notification to the board of his intent to resign due to a move outside of the district boundaries. During that meeting, the board directed Superintendent Presta to begin the provisional appointment process. 

On January 12, Trustee Cho formally notified the San Mateo County Superintendent of Schools of his resignation from the JUHSD Board of Trustees, effective immediately. We thank Trustee Cho for his dedicated service to JUHSD! The Board has 60 days from January 12 to make a provisional appointment. 

Applications will be accepted beginning January 15, 2026. To be considered as a candidate, the application must be received by 4pm on February 13, 2026. Click here to access the application.

Qualified candidates will be interviewed in open session during the March 10, 2026 Board meeting. The Board’s appointment of the candidate to fill this position will take place at that Board meeting after discussion of candidates.

The selected candidate must be available to attend a mandatory Board Study Session (workshop) on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the District Office, located at 123 Edgemont Drive, Daly City.
