PSAT/SAT Information

Important information about PSAT for 11th Graders:

Jefferson Union High School District will administer the PSAT/NMSQT in a digital format at no cost for interested 11th grade students. The test will take place during the week of October 28th at Terra Nova High School. The exact date is to be determined.

The PSAT/NMSQT is optional, and it offers students the opportunity to qualify for scholarships that can help pay for college. Additionally, it serves as practice for the SAT. However, please note that since the 2020-21 academic year, numerous higher education institutions have embraced a "test blind/test optional" policy. This policy dictates that any SAT (or ACT) scores submitted by students will not be factored into the decision-making process for admissions or scholarships. Under this policy, colleges and universities are not requiring SAT (ACT) scores for admissions.
