Update from JUHSD Superintendent April 9

Dear Students, Parents and Caregivers,

I hope that you are using as much of Spring Break as possible to care for yourself and your families.  The end of the school year is a crazy, fast trip to June—it will be even crazier and possibly more unpredictable given the COVID-19 crisis.  Please make self-care your top priority.

At Home Learning (AHL) resumes on Monday, April 13 per the revised schedule.

Food for Students and Families Meal distribution and food banks are still taking place this week. Meals can be picked up for children under 18 at Westmoor, Terra Nova, and Jefferson High Schools from 11-1 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Jefferson High is also hosting a food pantry for all families in need on Tuesdays 1-2:30 and Saturdays from 11-1.

San Mateo County Strong San Mateo County has developed a website to allow people from San Mateo County and beyond to join the County’s relief effort: https://www.smcstrong.org/

Health Reminder If you need to leave your home, remember that the county health order was revised to require us to wear masks or scarves.
And, of course, keep yourself safe:  Wash your hands; don’t touch your face; wear masks or scarves outside of your home; practice social-distancing.
Sincerely,

Dr. Deloria (Dr. D.)
Superintendent
