Important Resources for Students

Dear JUHSD Families and Students,

During this difficult time, I want to make sure that students and their families have access to the resources they need. This means providing the resources students need to participate in At-Home Learning, and offering wellness supports.

Some students have not yet connected with their teachers. These teachers will be attempting to call parents over the next few days. Please note that these calls will come from “No Caller ID.” It is extremely important that students continue their education during this time. If a student needs access to a device, or help obtaining internet at home, we have resources to provide support for both. Please visit juhsd/net for more information.

We are providing two new wellness resources to help students navigate this year:

  1. Student Mindfulness meetings are taking place daily at 11am online at https://zoom.us/j/503741564 or by phone at (669)900-6833 with meeting ID: 503 741 564.
  2. JUHSD students now have free access to Atlas, a stress management mobile app specifically designed to support high school students. The app offers podcasts and a guided journaling experience that guides students through school stress, time management, relationships and friendships, sleep and emotional hygiene. The app is currently releasing content that helps students adjust to life in the age of coronavirus. Students can download the app using Google Play or Apple App Store. View the Parent FAQ here.

Wellness Counselors continue to be available for student and parent/guardian meetings. For more information on how to schedule a meeting, please visit https://www.juhsd.net/domain/457.

Please be sure to keep yourself and your family safe by honoring the order from the San Mateo Health Department to stay home and practice social distancing. This means no playdates, parties, sleepovers, or visits from families or friends to each other's houses or apartments. Remember, if you or a family member is sick, please call your doctor immediately.

Sincerely,

Dr. Terry A. Deloria (Dr. D.)

Superintendent
