The mathematics curriculum at Terra Nova consists of an integrated pathway called Math Course 1, 2, and 3.  These courses cover all of the same topics as the traditional Algebra One, Algebra Two, and Geometry, and have been updated to meet the Common Core State Standards.  Supplemental to these three courses, are two bridge courses for students who need more assistance before they move onto the next course.  In addition, we offer Trig/Pre-Calculus, Statistics and AP Calculus AB.

The math department also offers free one hour after school tutoring from 3pm to 4pm, Monday through Thursday.

Our department has had an ongoing tradition of success.  Our state test scores are always above average and usually in the upper 80^th percentile of scores across the state.  In the last 5 years, on average 86% of our Calculus students pass the AP Calculus exam, with a mean score that has been between 3.5 and 4.0.
