If you need a computer to complete your application please email District Office Receptionist Regina Fogarty, rfogar@jeffersonunion.net , to make an appointment to visit the District Office at 123 Edgemont Drive, Building A in Daly City, Monday-Friday between 8:30 am-3:00 pm. 

Jefferson Union High School is an open-enrollment district. Between November 12, 2024 and January 21, 2025, parents/guardians submit an online registration form through the parent portal, ParentVUE, and rank their school of choice. 

Note: 30 students who live in 94014 or 94044 will be given their first choice selection of Westmoor High School. These 30 students will be identified through a lottery system*. The 31st student and beyond will be placed on a waiting list for the 2025-2026 school year. Oceana High School will accept a maximum of 210 students. If there are more than 210 requests, then a lottery* will be held. Other students will be placed in a lottery for the 2025-2026 school year. Students who reside in the Bayshore Elementary School District or the Brisbane School District attendance area are guaranteed their first choice of the three comprehensive high schools (Jefferson, Terra Nova, or Westmoor).

After the January 22 school selection deadline, students will be automatically assigned to the school of attendance established in the Board Policy and Administrative Regulations 5116 (see table below). Thornton High School and Oceana High School and any other district alternative school or program are exempt from this policy and regulation and do not have school attendance boundaries.

Students will receive their school assignment in February. Students have an opportunity to request a transfer to another school site during the intradistrict transfer period from March 1 - March 31. Intradistrict transfer requests outside of this window may be accepted on a case-by- case basis.
