• WELCOME TO 2021-2022 COURSE REQUEST INFORMATION

We hope that everything you need for selecting courses for the 2021-2022 school year can be found on this page. Before starting course selection, consider viewing this counselor presentation to learn about graduation requirements. This will help students and families to think about which courses students need to take for next school year to progress towards graduation.

  • COURSE CATALOG

The Oceana Course Catalog contains a listing and description of the course and program that is scheduled to be offered for the next school year. It is a tool designed to help students select their courses and build an individualized 4-year plan in accordance with their post secondary goals. Due to master scheduling constraints, student requests, and staffing, there may be courses listed that are not offered next school year.

For additional information about our courses, refer to the Oceana’s UC & CSU A-G Approved Course List.

  • AP COURSES

Oceana offers a number of AP courses each school year. We want our students to be very thoughtful about signing up for an AP course. Please review this website for detailed information about each AP course offered at Oceana.

Raising 11th and raising 12th graders who are interested in AP in Humanities, please fill out this form.

    Themed Adviory

Rising 11th graders (Class of 2023) interested in signing up for a themed Advisory will need to fill out this google form. Please note that themed advisories are a two year commitment. If you are not interested in a themed advisory, you will be placed in a regular advisory.

  • ONLINE COURSE SELECTION PROCESS

Students will be logging into StudentVUE to choose their courses for the 2021-2022 school year. They have until Friday, March 5th to enter their courses. Please review the counselors’ webinars for step by step on how to enter courses.

Out of an abundance of caution, our course selection process will be done completely online (instead of our past practice of using paper selection sheets). It is vital that families confirm their students’ course selections by completing this process together. We want students to choose classes that will be fulfilling and move them towards graduation and beyond. We do our best to give students courses based on their preferences and course availability. Students will not be able to change their course selections after completing the online course selection process.
