Megan Carey
Ms. Carey has been working with the Jefferson Union High School District for over ten years.  She began her career as a counselor at Westmoor High School and also served as Dean of Students at Jefferson High School.  In January 2014, Ms. Carey joined Terra Nova High School as Vice Principal of Guidance, where she continued to serve until becoming principal for the 2016-2017 school year.  Ms. Carey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and received a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco.

Emily Cruze
Vice Principal of Administration
Hello tigers!  Ms. Cruze is thrilled to be joining the team as Vice Principal of Administration.  She is a bay area girl, born and raised, with a BA in English and Creative Writing from U.C. Berkeley and an M.A. in Education from Stanford University.  Her career began with teaching English and SDAIE/ELD for ten years at Westmont High School, in Campbell, California, where she was voted Teacher of the Year in 2013.  She then served as Assistant Principal at Leigh High School in San Jose for two years.  She looks forward to working with the entire Terra Nova family to insure student safety and success!

Salie Stoner-Bennett
Vice Principal of Guidance
Mrs. Stoner-Bennett began working for JUHSD in 1999 at Jefferson High School where she was an Educational Specialist, Department Chair, WASC Coordinator, Mentor Teacher and Dean of Students.  She came to Terra Nova in the fall of 2015 and served as Dean of Students until she became the VPG in the fall of 2016. Mrs. Stoner-Bennett holds multiple advanced degrees and is currently working on a Master’s Degree from the Department of Equity, Leadership Studies and Instructional Technologies at SFSU.

Carla Hensley
Dean of Students
Prior to becoming Dean of Students, Ms. Hensley began working with Terra Nova High School in 2005, permanently joining the Social Science faculty in 2007.  While teaching full time, she was the GSA club adviser for three years, an instructional coach for three years, and served as an assistant to the school's administration for over four years, working in the area of campus supervision and safety.
