Dear JUHSD Community,

On November 17, 2020, I began one of the greatest honors and responsibilities of my career: serving as Superintendent of the Jefferson Union High School District. From that day forward, I have been proud to be part of this vibrant and diverse community, united in our mission to create safe, welcoming spaces where every student can learn, grow, and thrive.

Our award-winning schools reflect JUHSD’s unwavering commitment to excellence, equity, and inclusion. Every day, we work to ensure that each student has the opportunity to succeed in an environment where they are valued and respected. Together, we nurture creative, critical thinkers in a challenging yet supportive setting that fosters dignity, enthusiasm, and civic engagement.

I am continually inspired by our students, young people who, despite challenges, continue to innovate, lead, and make a difference in their communities. I am equally grateful for our dedicated staff and board members, who work tirelessly to provide the resources and opportunities students need to excel both academically and personally.

Leading a district that prioritizes both excellence and equity is a privilege I do not take lightly. My commitment remains steadfast: to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background.

Finally, my “open door policy” is more than words; it is a promise. I welcome your partnership and look forward to continuing our work together to support the success of all JUHSD students.
