Dear JUHSD Community,

On November 17, 2020, I embarked on a journey that comes with both tremendous honor and great responsibility. On that date, I began my role as the Superintendent of the Jefferson Union High School District (JUHSD).  I am incredibly honored to be part of this vibrant and diverse community, especially as we work to create safe, welcoming spaces for all students to learn, grow, and thrive.

The award-winning schools of JUHSD are a testament to our commitment to excellence, equity, and inclusion. We strive to ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed in an environment where they feel valued, respected, and supported. I am proud to be at the forefront of this vital work, where our mission is to nurture creative, critical thinkers in a challenging yet supportive educational setting that fosters dignity, enthusiasm, and civic engagement.

I am inspired by the amazing students in our schools. Despite the many challenges they face, they continue to innovate, grow, and make a positive impact in their communities. Our staff and board members are equally dedicated, working together to ensure that all students have the resources they need to succeed academically and personally.

I am honored to lead an education system that prioritizes excellence and equity, and I remain committed to ensuring opportunities for all students, regardless of their background. 

Finally, my “open door policy” is not just a phrase – it is a commitment. I value your partnership and vow to continue working together to ensure the success of all our students.
