No Cost Classes:
Classes offered at no cost to participants are supported by public education funds. These classes include Adult High School Diploma and GED, English as a Second Language, preparation for citizenship and some computer classes.
These classes are supported by student fees, based on a price of $3 per hour. Most fee-based classes meet weekly for 12 weeks. The fee for two-hour classes is $65 and three-hour classes is $95. Jefferson Adult Education is interested in expanding fee-based classes to fulfill community interest. Contact the Director of Adult Education, Francisca Wentworth, if interested in other courses.
Payment for fees and books shall be made upon registration. Checks and money orders shall be made payable to: Jefferson Adult Education
Supplies and Textbooks:
Students are expected to provide their own supplies, such as paper and pencils. The school provides required textbooks when appropriate. Textbooks may also be purchased at the Adult School Offices at each school site.
