    Jefferson High School provides a safe and caring student centered learning environment which fosters pride in achievement and in reaching one’s highest academic potential. Jefferson will provide all students with a rigorous, engaging and culturally relevant curriculum, enabling all students to become independent, critical thinkers who have mastered the essential skills to be college and career ready. Jefferson High School will foster a culture that is highly collaborative, empowering everyone to engage in lifelong learning. Jefferson teachers will develop and provide a learning environment with clearly articulated and aligned curriculum that promotes academic excellence and literacy across curricula. Upon graduation all Jefferson students will exhibit confidence in their skills to meet the challenges of the 21st century, and will be committed to making our school, community, and society a better place to live.

    Our Mission

    Our Mission is to work collectively to meet every student where they are in their learning and to ensure that all students are able to demonstrate mastery of essential content standards upon graduation.  Teachers will construct and follow a commonly aligned curriculum and employ a variety of researched based instructional strategies. Teachers will use data to inform their instruction and will provide additional opportunities for students to demonstrate mastery of essential skills and content. Student learning will be evaluated through common assessments and students will receive constant formative feedback through the use of standards based grading.
