Classified Employee Pathway to a Credential

The Jefferson Union High School District is pleased to have established partnerships with Reach University, Alder Graduate School of Education / the San Mateo County Office of Education to offer interested classified employees the opportunity to earn a Bachelor's Degree and a credential. More information about these opportunities is included below.
Bachelor Degree (BA) Program
- Reach University: Through the partnership with Reach, classified employees can earn a Bachelors Degree through a fully online program at the low cost of $75/month. Reach University builds custom pathways for each applicant, taking into consideration any previously earned college units as applicable.
Credential and Masters (MA) Program
- Alder Graduate School of Education (GSE) and San Mateo County Office of Education (SMCOE): Through the partnership with Alder GSE and SMCOE, candidates earn their credential and MA degree through a one year residency model. The residency includes a living stipend and an offer of employment with the District (employment offer dependent an available open position and successful completion of the program).
