Mei-Feng Howell grew up in Taiwan and immigrated to the United States to pursue higher education, earning a Master’s Degree in Science Education from Florida International University. During her twenty-four years of teaching, she taught Science, Mathematics, and Chinese in the Fremont Unified School District. As a tenured teacher at American High School, she led the Mathematics department of eighteen teachers for more than a decade. Mrs. Howell is a student advocate, seasoned teacher mentor, and active community servant. She is also a loving wife and a mother of a high school junior. Her experiences as an educator, department chair, and parent provide her with the myriad perspectives necessary to fill the role of Vice Principal. Above all, she is excited to continue her journey in public education and grateful for the opportunity to serve Westmoor High School with an open heart and open mind.
