Every county in California is assigned to a tier based on its test positivity and adjusted case rate. The tier levels range from yellow (minimal) to purple (widespread). Please visit the California Department of Health website for additional information.Â
San Mateo County is currently in Purple Tier. This means that disease is widespread, and infection rates continue to rise, while threatening hospitals' ability to provide ICU care. All schools are operating in Distance Learning.
