ASSISTANCE IN PREPARING FOR THE
Parents/Guardians
and Pupils:
Pursuant
to California Education Code section 37254, you are hereby notified that:
1. Pupils, including
English learners, who have not passed one or both parts of the California High
School Exit Examination (CAHSEE) by the end of grade 12 are entitled to receive
intensive instruction and services for up to two consecutive academic years
after completion of grade 12 or until they pass both parts of the CAHSEE,
whichever comes first. Eligibility for
services for students in the Class of 2006 ends on

entitled to receive services to improve English proficiency as needed to pass
those parts of the CAHSEE not yet passed for up to two consecutive academic years
after completion of grade 12 or until they pass both parts of the CAHSEE,
whichever comes first.
3. Pupils, who have not
passed one or both parts of the CAHSEE by the end of grade 12, have the right
to file a complaint regarding intensive instruction and services under the
Uniform Complaint Procedures if he or she was not provided the opportunity to
receive intensive instruction and services for up to two consecutive academic
years after completion of grade 12 or until they pass both parts of the CAHSEE,
whichever comes first.

EN LA PREPARACION PARA EL EXAMEN DE SALIDA
Padres de familia, tutores y alumnos:
Se les informa que de acuerdo a la sección 37254
del Código de Educación del Estado de California:
1. Los alumnos, inclusive
los que estén aprendiendo el inglés, quienes no hayan pasado una o ambas partes
del examen de terminación del high school (CAHSEE) al finalizar el año 12
tienen el derecho de recibir servicios de instrucción intensivos hasta por dos
años académicos consecutivos después de terminar el doceavo año o hasta pasar
el CAHSEE, lo que suceda primero.
Servicios educativos para alumnos de la generación de 2006 terminarán el
29 de julio de 2008, y para la generación de 2007 en el mes de julio de 2009.
2. Estudiantes que están
aprendiendo el inglés y que no hayan pasado una o ambas partes del CAHSEE al
terminar el doceavo año tienen el derecho de recibir servicios educativos para
mejorar su nivel de inglés para poder pasar aquellas partes reprobadas del
CAHSEE hasta por dos años consecutivos después de terminar el doceavo año o
hasta pasar ambas partes del CAHSEE.
3. Los alumnos que no hayan
pasado una o ambas partes del CAHSEE antes de terminar el año 12 tienen el
derecho de manifestar una queja referente a los servicios intensivos de
instrucción bajo el “procedimiento uniforme de quejas” si no hayan tenido la
oportunidad de recibir servicios intensivos de instrucción hasta por dos años
académicos después de terminar el doceavo grado o hasta que pasen ambas partes
del CAHSEE.

Ang mga mag-aaral, kasama ang mga mag-aaral ng
wikang Ingles (EL), na hindi pumasa sa isa o dalawang bahagi ng California High School Exit Examination
(CAHSEE) at nasa ika-12 grado ay maaring sumailalim sa intensibong
pagtuturo at serbisyo sa loob ng dalawang sunud-sunod na taon pagkatapos ng
ika-12 grado o hanggang pumasa sa dalawang bahagi ng CAHSEE, o kaya’y alin man
ang mauna. Ang karapatang tumaggap nitong mga serbisyo para sa mga mag-aaral ng

Ang mga mag-aaral ng wikang Ingles (EL), na

upang pumasa sa Ingles na bahagi ng CAHSEE. Ang serbisyong ito ay hanggang
dalawang sunud-sunod na taon pagkatapos makumpleto ang ika-12 grado o hanggang
maipasa ang dalawang bahagi ng CAHSEE, alin man ang mauna.

Ang mga mag-aaral, na hindi nakapasa ng isa o
dalawang bahagi ng CAHSEE at nasa ika-12 grado, ay may karapatang magreklamo
tungkol sa intensibong pagtuturo at serbisyo ayon sa Uniform Complaint Procedures kung siya ay hindi nabigyan ng
pagkakataong tumanggap ng intensibong pagtuturo at serbisyo sa sunud-sunod na
dalawang taon matapos makumpleto ang ika-12 grado o hanggang sa maipasa ang
dalawang bahagi ng CAHSEE, alin man ang mauna.
