  • Congratulations to Westmoor’s Future Business Leaders of America Chapter!!!

    FBLA

In mid-April, Westmoor sent 48 students and three staff members to the California State FBLA Conference in Ontario, California. Westmoor students did a great job, with 19 students qualifying to compete at FBLA Nationals in Atlanta this summer. Westmoor students placed in the top 3 in many highly-competitive events including:
1st place in the FBLA Partnership with Business Competition,
2nd place in Community Service Project,
and 2ndplace in the American Enterprise Project.
Over 1,500 students attended the event. Mr. Ben Pham, Ms. Terri Cabarle, and Mr. Jeff Speranza accompanied 48 FBLA members to Ontario and were so proud of our students’ composure, poise, and competitiveness at the event. Of the 179 FBLA chapters participating at the event, Westmoor was named among the “Top 7 Calfifornia FBLA Chapters.  Congratulations to our Westmoor FBLA!!!”

  • Blooming Boxes Celebration of Creativity

Throughout our campus, Westmoor students are working on large, small, and mid-sized boxes which will “open” to the creativity within.  Westmoor students are “breaking out” of the confines of stereotypes.  This is the third year of Westmoor’s Blooming Boxes on the Hill Celebration.  This year, there are twelve teachers and over 400 boxes on display in our corridors.  The celebration started this Monday, March 28th.  It will continue all week.  This year, Mr. Weathers also added a celebration of unity with a hula-hoop-as-unity event on Thursday, March 31stat lunch.  Come see the great ideas of expression and art of creativity throughout Westmoor and on our hillside!!!
