JEFFERSON UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT CHOICE OPTION
Jefferson High School receives Title I funding and is identified as program Improvement. Under the provisions of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, parents of students enrolled at Program Improvement schools are provided additional options. All parents/guardians of students attending a PI school have the right to request a transfer for their child to a non-PI district school with district paid transportation. The Choice Option Transfer Request Form can be found under the Parent/Student Resources Links. Currently the high schools open to this type of transfer are in Pacifica. The district will provide students who transfer with a free SamTrans bus pass. Also under the ESEA, students who remain enrolled at a PI school may be eligible for Supplemental Educational Services, which provide tutoring beyond the school day. Applications for SES were mailed to the student home address.
